"I remember when the Nazi tanks came into our town. Soldiers filled the streets and there were many rules about what we could not do. There was a curfew which I remember clearly because the first person I ever saw killed was shot by the Germans when he was out too late.
Our whole family was deported to Auschwitz. My two brothers and I stood together and were tattooed with consecutive numbers.

We were the only ones who survived."
